Women and men leaders from the Al-Mabarrat Scouts Association took part in the “She for Dialogue” programme being carried out by five women from different sects in Lebanon, among them Ms. Layal Mansour representing Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association.
The programme, launched by the “International Dialogue Centre - KAICIID”, is concerned with “empowering a group of women leaders in the Arab world, training them in the foundations and principles of dialogue, and strengthening their role in public life in order to face social challenges”.
The programme brought together young women and men from different sects for training in “building a culture of dialogue, communication for resolving conflicts, the role of young women and men in bringing about change, and women in religion”. The programme also included a visit to the various religious landmarks of the southern city of Tyre. It is noted that two of the programme's participants will join the meeting organized by the National Commission for Lebanese Women's Affairs to draw up the national strategic plan relating to women's rights.
