Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association issued a statement on the situation of the Al-Mabarrat schools located in the southern border areas, which read:
Amid the present circumstances, which have required the closure of the schools in the border areas of southern Lebanon, Al-Mabarrat's schools are working to secure teaching for their pupils and to develop temporary alternative solutions with the aim of ensuring the continuation of study and achieving equality in education for all.
In this context the following measures have been taken:
1 - Securing the enrolment of displaced pupils in the Al-Mabarrat schools close to the places to which they have been displaced.
2 - Activating work on Al-Mabarrat's digital platform to follow up the lessons of displaced pupils who have the means to do so.
3 - Setting virtual meetings for teachers to revise the lessons with the pupils.
4 - Securing different means of communication for pupils unable to take part online, “such as short videos on CD or teaching materials over WhatsApp”
5 - Making use of the teaching materials produced on the electronic platform during the coronavirus crisis, adapting them and sending them to the families. Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association implores God Almighty that security and stability may be achieved throughout the homeland, that He may have mercy on the martyrs, heal the wounded and return every displaced person to their home - He is All-Hearing, All-Responding.
