A delegation from Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association headed by the Director General of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah visited the Australian embassy in Beirut and met the Australian ambassador Andrew Barnes.
The meeting was attended by the embassy's projects officer Mrs. Pascale Semaan, the director of Al-Hadi Institution for Hearing and Visual Impairment and Language and Communication Disorders Ismail Al-Zein, and the institution's relations and media officer Abeer Habib.
The visit aimed at getting acquainted and offering thanks for the support of projects relating to children with disabilities at Al-Hadi Institution. During it the Director General spoke, introducing Al-Mabarrat's institutions distributed across Lebanon, the numbers of pupils, the health, teaching and care centres and the quality of services, and pointing to the joining of society and the expatriates in supporting Al-Mabarrat during the economic crisis.
Sheikh Ismail Al-Zein then spoke about Al-Hadi Institution, shedding light on the numbers of pupils with disabilities, the institution's sections, the teaching and therapeutic services provided, and the local and international participations of the gifted whose talents are discovered and refined, as well as the institution's clubs, its partnerships and its continuous development.
The Australian ambassador for his part expressed his happiness at the meeting and praised what Al-Mabarrat does, the quality of its services and the large numbers it serves in society, which support marginalized groups and their families - and without it and its like there would be a great problem in Lebanon.
At the close of the meeting the Director General of Al-Mabarrat invited the Australian ambassador to visit Al-Mabarrat's institutions and learn about the services they provide at first hand, in addition to opening the project funded by the embassy.
