His Eminence Allama Sayyed Ali Fadlallah received a delegation from the board of women friends of the Lady Khadija Al-Kubra (a.s.) Mabarra, which briefed him on the activities it carries out in supporting this Mabarra's journey at more than one level
At the outset His Eminence welcomed the delegation, praising their work and valuing the efforts they exert in supplying this Mabarra and standing alongside it so that it may continue to carry out its duty of caring for and embracing orphans, especially amid these difficult and pressing circumstances the homeland is living through - where the board has formed
a model for all the other boards in dedication and giving.
His Eminence added: Despite all these challenges we still feel that people's trust in these institutions is growing and increasing, and is translated through their continuing to offer every kind of support so that they may continue their road and their work in the service of this society.
His Eminence continued: The present stage requires of you to redouble your efforts, to mobilize your relations internally and with the countries of emigration, and to devise new initiatives to involve people in supporting such institutions, whose services the homeland needs, especially amid these difficult economic and living challenges it is passing through.
His Eminence concluded: These institutions were established for the people; they are not the property of a family, a sect or a denomination. They are open to all people, far from all forms of sectarian, denominational or regional discrimination as we have grown used to in this country, and they exist to help the poor, the orphans and people with disabilities
and to ease the burden on society, relying on the assistance offered by the people of goodness - and therefore their decision has been free and not beholden to any body or state.
His Eminence had also received the journalist Youssef Hazimeh, who presented him with some of his writings and discussed media and cultural affairs with him
