The Directorate of Care Affairs at Al-Mabarrat organized the central meeting of the care supervision staff under the title “The Course of the Late Hajj Mahmoud Mahmoud”, at the Lady Khadija Al-Kubra Mabarra, with the participation of some 150 educators, teaching staff and administrators working at the care institutions.
The meeting's coordinator Souheir Sharara said that “the meeting is an annual station for training the care supervision staff on the most important subjects that help develop the work with the children at the care institutions, for exchanging expertise, and for benefiting from pioneering expertise and experiences in care work, within the framework of continuous qualification and empowerment. Beyond that, the meeting is a station for honouring a figure who influenced care work - and the care supervisor Mahmoud Mahmoud is this year's figure, since he left a mark on the development of care work at Al-Mabarrat.”
The training workshops focused on how to train a child to become a responsible person, how to strengthen their character, and how to raise them with high resolve and a settled life; they were delivered by specialists in the field of training and education.
The opening ceremony featured a word of guidance delivered by the president of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association His Eminence Allama Sayyed Ali Fadlallah, in which he addressed the value of love and pointed to “the necessity that we reflect the image of one loving society and offer the exemplary image, which needs the spirit of caring for others - that spirit planted in those working at Al-Mabarrat when they took up this exhausting and wearying work that requires additional efforts; this spirit present in the care supervisors, which needs to be affirmed and preserved”.
His Eminence addressed the care supervisors in his speech, saying: “You must look upon your work as a grace from God - this work that God entrusted to the prophets. With all our appreciation of your fatigue, we must not lose the reward and the recompense; we must focus on praising God for granting us this work, because we are applying the messages of the prophets. Our children need this spirit, and we must be keen to enjoin one another to truth and to enjoin one another to patience.”
He noted that “the value of these institutions lies in the human being within them, and in all our positions we must build and work at every level - cultural, health, educational and social - and this requires a culture that is not ordinary”.
He stressed the necessity of “working so that we may make the generation capable of learning, so that it may not be frivolous. We live in this age with all its developments, and we must begin our year with every strength and without discouragement despite life's circumstances; our role is to be positive in our work.”
The celebration also featured a speech by the graduate Hadi Al-Zarawi, and a documentary film about the late Hajj Mahmoud Mahmoud, who was distinguished in serving the children of the Imam Al-Khoei Mabarra.”
The celebration was followed by a panel entitled “Faith Energy” delivered by Sayyed Jaafar Fadlallah, in which he explained the meaning of energy, its nature and its sources and how a person trains through it in knowledge and faith in God.
