Mabarrat Al-Nabi Ibrahim (PBUH)

The Prophet Ibrahim Charity was established in 2005 in Khiam, southern Lebanon, through a generous initiative by charitable individuals who strive for solidarity and integration within society, caring for orphans and those in difficult social situations and ensuring a dignified life for them.

Departments of the charity:

The charity includes the following sections: a restaurant (kitchen and dining hall with a capacity of 200 people), family and activity rooms equipped with all the essentials an orphan needs (beds, chairs, tables, computers, televisions, closets, etc.), a theater hall, a Quranic Diwaniya, a mosque, sports fields (outdoor and indoor), a garden, a clinic, a dental clinic, a laundry, and 3 warehouses.

Special Programs

The Zadi Towards a Good Life Program

Directed at children according to their age groups, from 4 years old to 13 years old and above, it focuses on strengthening values, life skills, and Islamic and national upbringing according to a matrix of cognitive, emotional, and skill-based objectives that contribute to the creation of a human being who rises up, innovates, and influences his or her community. Its implementation is supervised by the general coordinator of the educational program in cooperation with the stage supervisors and educational stakeholders, according to the topics covered in each section

Al-Mabarrah services:

The care supervision department (care supervisors, a stage guide, educational assistants, and an educational coordinator) at the organization monitors the children's completion of their schoolwork with the aim of raising their academic achievement and achieving success and excellence

These include preventive and therapeutic intervention programs for staff, children, and parents, including (child protection policy, adaptation, openness and acceptance of others, positive care, building self-esteem, and a motivational program (“reward and compensation”)) through individual or group sessions to help them achieve social integration, modify behavior, and achieve self-reliance, ensuring a safe and loving environment free from all forms of physical, verbal, and psychological violence

The charity is keen to nurture the spiritual side of its children by raising them and educating them about the religious aspect, urging them to adhere to their religious duties such as prayer, fasting, supplication, and following the example of the prophets and imams (peace be upon them), and to become acquainted with the intellectual legacy of His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah (may God be pleased with him) through follow-up by the religious guide.

include providing health services (clinical examination by a pediatrician and specialists for children and employees, followed by follow-up of examination results and signs of health problems with specialist doctors (ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat, dental treatment and orthodontics, laboratory tests and health card for employees) to ensure public safety and good health

  1. Nutrition: The nutritionist, in coordination with the restaurant's manager, develops a monthly meal plan that takes into account the food pyramid and monitors its implementation to ensure food safety and health in accordance with international quality standards. She also monitors children suffering from obesity through special nutritional programs and prepares advisory and awareness brochures on food health and safety for children, employees, and parents
  2. Dental Clinic: The dentist examines the teeth of the children and employees and provides the necessary treatments to maintain oral health and safety through periodic checkups at the clinic within the orphanage
  3. Isolation rooms: Used to keep children safe if one of them is exposed to any health problem or contagious disease
  4. Laundry: Provides washing, sterilization, and ironing of children’s clothes, in addition to the charity’s own laundry of sheets, towels, mattress covers, and pillowcases

Providing all children's needs and requirements: clothing, books, educational tools, school and sports uniforms, stationery, toys and gifts, and Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha clothing

To enhance the best care and development of the children’s sporting talents and to enable them to reach professionalism, the association has worked to license a sports club (Al-Mabarrah Al-Khayyam Club) from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This club is supervised by specialized trainers in: chess, badminton, table tennis, handball, and they conduct internal training and external participation in tournaments organized by the Lebanese Badminton, Table Tennis and Chess Federation, and sports tournaments organized by the municipalities of the Marjeyoun and Hasbaya regions, in addition to participating in matches organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
