The Director General of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah addressed a word to the graduates of Al-Mabarrat's schools in which he affirmed “the importance of the stage the graduating students lived at school in building their future characters, their belonging, their history and their culture, amid the waves of control over minds our world is witnessing”. He called on the students “to be faithful to everyone who worked on raising and teaching them and to everyone who gave them something of their spirit and was in contact with them at critical times until they reached the stage of graduation”.
He added: “Each of you may be gifted in one of life's fields, so be ready to search for your capacities, to awaken your talents and to satisfy your interests, always looking to unfamiliar works, keeping away from imitation and conventionality so as to reach the fields of excellence.” He said: “Al-Mabarrat's schools have graduated high achievers and creative people, so be among the pioneers of this wonderful caravan - and the administrations and teachers at Al-Mabarrat's schools will not hesitate to help you in that.”
Fadlallah warned the students against “excessive use of technology in amusement and wasting time, for society needs you and your time so that you may renew life's paths; and likewise against being distracted from the goal of focusing on study and on broad culture and the multiple skills required by the university stage, which will be followed by entry into working life”.
Fadlallah pointed out that “Al-Mabarrat has supplied its students with a solid intellectual framework and a deep, firm foundation that protects them from falling into the abysses of fanaticism and ignorance, amid the difficult conditions our world is living today economically, intellectually and health-wise”, noting “the importance that the enlightened thought of the founder Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah remain a space in whose shade these students may shelter in being open to others and in establishing a culture of dialogue”.
Fadlallah affirmed that “Al-Mabarrat's schools work on the constant improvement and renewal of the process of education and teaching in a way that realizes for the graduates the features of a person who believes in God and His messages, is educated and cultured, aware and productive, open to the issues of the age, who gives life strength and openness and takes part in making the future”. He hoped that “the practical outcomes have been realized in the students, or in many of them, in a way that brings a feeling of satisfaction to them, to us, to their families and to their society, by achieving the required growth”.
He concluded: “Al-Mabarrat's schools carried the banner of knowledge in the darkest circumstances, and this year was the hardest. They aimed and still aim to build a society founded on participation, on accepting difference, and on the ability to express oneself through a culture built on human values and civilized behaviour. Likewise we at Al-Mabarrat were and will remain working on building generations that rely on reason, stir the emotions and develop capacities in a way that benefits people.”
