Al-Mabarrat Students Raise the Lebanese Flag at the World Robotics Championship in Tokyo

مجموعة من الطلاب يحملون لافتة تهنئة لفريق ثانوية الإمام الجواد لتأهله إلى المرحلة الثالثة في مسابقة الروبوت العالمية بطوكيو مع العلم اللبناني | A group of students hold a banner congratulating the Imam Al-Jawad High School team on reaching the third stage of the world robotics contest in Tokyo, with the Lebanese flag

The students of Imam Al-Jawad High School, which belongs to Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, returned to Beirut from the Japanese capital Tokyo after raising the Lebanese flag for the first time at the most important international forums of creativity and innovation in robotics sciences in Japan, with 32 countries taking part, and taking 33rd place in the Sumo Autonomic competition among the participating teams, which numbered 122.

The team was received at Rafic Hariri International Airport by a delegation from the school, a number of educational, social and media figures, representatives of the committee organizing the annual robotics championship, a delegation from the general administration of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, families and students.

This result came after Al-Mabarrat's students passed 3 stages of the competition (the first, the second and the third, the penultimate one), which ranged between technical inspection and direct matches. The Lebanese team was able to pass them despite the high technical means available to the other teams compared with Lebanon. Al-Mabarrat's students left a positive impression on the organizing committee and the participating international teams.

It should be noted that Lebanon is taking part for the first time in this international championship, which was established 31 years ago.
