Within the framework of the humanitarian initiatives Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association is carrying out amid the stifling economic conditions, one of its institutions, the “Orphans' Company for General Trade and Fuel”, announced “the launch of an initiative to support families of limited means by distributing 3,000 petrol vouchers to the neediest owners of public transport cars, as a modest beginning towards this affected group”.
The Orphans' Company explained in a statement it issued that “the aim of the initiative is to help the largest possible number of owners of public transport cars amid the tragic situation Lebanon is living through, given the insane rise in prices, including fuel prices”.
The company's administration held that what it is doing is “a modest contribution in a country in which the poverty rate has exceeded 80%”, explaining that “some of its stations in Beirut, the South and the Bekaa will be designated for this purpose so that its initiative may cover the largest possible segment of public transport car owners”.
The company concluded its statement by hoping that those who are able would “turn their attention to the group of public transport drivers, support them and back them, especially in these circumstances”, and expressing its thanks “to all the supporters of this initiative and the donors among the people of generous hands and the people of goodness who support the works of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association at more than one level.”
