The directorate of care affairs at Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association organized an honouring celebration for the staff of all Al-Mabarrat's care institutions, at Prophet Ibrahim Mabarrat in Khiam, under the patronage and in the presence of the association's president Allama Sayyed Ali Fadlallah, and with the participation of the directors of Al-Mabarrat's care institutions.
Fadlallah spoke and held “that care work in the social and humanitarian field carries a great value when it is governed by message-driven aspirations, and that it may lose much of its meaning when it turns into a mere job”.
He said: “At this stage we must exert greater efforts in building an integrated human personality, because the difficulties that stand in the way of such a task are great. The prevailing sectarian fanaticisms and sensitivities kill the human spirit in us, and the media apparatuses feed these fanaticisms and rancours at the expense of the human being, to the same degree that they work at arousing the instinctual side in him so as to make him a consumer of every shade of deviation.”
He pointed out “that our intellectual, religious, spiritual and moral values are in the circle of targeting, as is the case with our nation, which the foreign armies have turned into an arena of fighting and conflict so as to drain it and weaken it. This requires us to live a state of mobilization at every level to protect the land, the value and the human being.”
He said: “Just as caring for the human being needs the thought that develops his energies, it needs the heart that overflows with love, and the message-driven spirit that bears all hardships and pains for the sake of arriving at a genuine human development.”
He held “that to the degree that a person arms himself with culture and knowledge he becomes an effective bearer of the message, and this is what we want for everyone working in the field of care supervision”.
He addressed the care supervisors, saying: “Your role in these institutions is one of the greatest of roles. Do not belittle this role; make yourselves feel that your role is great; elevate your work; may you have the love of the Messenger, his morals and his devotion. In this way we can raise the institutions up. What we want is for you to present a model for all institutions, so that we may be distinguished by our ethics, by our creative ideas and by our persistent efforts, so that the fruit of our work may be a human being who enriches the life around him with mind, love and morals.”
He concluded by stressing that “it is the responsibility of all of us to preserve this institution, which has continued through people gathering around it and through their devotion; and as long as we are sincere in carrying out this noble task, God will supply this institution with everything it needs in its work”.
